FAQ

  • Should I opt for timber or composite decking?

One of the most common questions by prospective decking owners is which material to go for: timber or composite? Both look great and have their own benefits, but ultimately it is down to personal taste and preference.

Many people prefer timber for its natural look and rustic feel, while others opt for composite materials because they are very low maintenance.

If you’re in any doubt about which material is right for your space, enquire with us today.

  • How long will my timber decking last?

Timber decking is made with long-lasting and durable materials such as hardwoods or pressure-treated softwoods. As long as quality materials are used, and the decking is well maintained, you can expect a lifespan of around 25 years.

  • Does decking require maintenance?

Like your home’s internal spaces, decking requires regular cleaning and maintenance. This includes sweeping to remove leaves, dirt and other debris. It is advisable to give your decking a thorough clean at least once a year. Use a mild detergent or a specialist decking cleaning product, or consider a pressure washer.
